ALL SOCIAL GATHERINGS BANNED FROM TOMORROW

The regional government of Murcia has announced that all social gatherings, public or in private,are banned from tomorrow, January 14.
Residents may only meet with the people they live with.
This move follows a massive increase in Covid-19 contagions in the region, nationally and in Calasparra. It is aimed at cutting out completely all types of activities when a face mask is removed. The exceptions are workplaces and education centres. Also for children who live at a different address to their parents, people with a marital or partner relationship with someone who lives in a different household and the care of elderly and dependant people living alone.
This ban will have effect from tomorrow and last for 14 days.
In Calasparra all municipal buildings which are not providing an essential service will close. This includes sports facilities, the public library, parks and gardens, museums and tourist office and the Music School.
There are currently 36 active cases of Covid-19 in Calasparra, 11 of which were diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
Regionally there are 11,909 total confirmed cases, 2,072 of which were diagnosed in the last 24 hours. There are currently 539 patients in hospital with the virus and 92 in intensive care. Some 792 people have died.
Nationally there are a total  of 2,176,089 confirmed cases and 52,878 people have died.
Everyone is asked to take extreme precautions in the light of the escalation of the virus in our town, region and country.
