A gang of four, operating in Calasparra and responsible for more than 20 robberies, has been dismantled by the Guardia Civil.
Three members of the “Thief Williams” gang have been detained and appeared before magistrates in Caravaca and a fourth is being investigated.
The gang used extreme force and agility to rob properties, shops and commercial properties and vehicles by breaking windows or doors to gain entry.
Anything easily sold was stolen by the group: jewelry, cash, electrical appliances etc. Some of this property has been recovered and returned to the owners.
Operating since September, the gang attacked several properties on the same day.
The Guardia Civil say collaboration from victims, witnesses and residents helped lead to the arrests.
