The local police of Calasparra have issued 30 fines during the past 15 days for breaking the curfew, failing to wear a mask or for breaching the municipal perimeter.
The local police are mounting a series of daily and nocturnal movement controls to assure the effective compliance of the measures established under the State of Alarm in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. They are controlling all types of vehicles and pedestrians.
The fines were for breaking the 11pm to 6am curfew; leaving the municipal area without a justifiable reason (as clarified in the State of Alarm); failing to wear a mask; as well as sanctions for meetings and social gatherings of more than six people.
According to a local police spokesperson: “The situation does not allow us to relax even a little.”
The local police have appealed to residents to behave responsibly in the face of the health crisis which “we must beat together.”
