The Mayoress of Calasparra signed two agreements of collaboration with the University of Murcia yesterday: to create an experimental archeological workshop at the Abrigos del Pozo and a permanent seat at the University of Murcia to promote sport and culture.
The two agreements were signed by the Mayoress, Teresa Garcia, and the Lord Rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, outside the Abrigos del Pozo.
The archeological workshop will aim to inform and provide practical training for university students at different levels.
The permanent seat at the University will mark the beginning of cooperation between the two institutions to develop activities together in areas such as sport and culture.
“These two agreements between the University of Murcia and Calasparra Town Hall represent a firm commitment by the local government team to preserve our cultural heritage and bring it closer to the people,” said the Mayoress.
