Local traders and Calasparra Town Hall have launched scratchcards to encourage people to use local shops and businesses offering major prizes such as a television, a mobile phone, a mountain bike and descents of the river Segura.
The Head of the local Department of Commerce, Mari Carmen Carmona, joined the Presidents of the newly formed Association of Shopkeepers and Bars and Restaurants, Puri Sánchez and Juan Párraga, this morning to launch the campaign which aims to encourage custom for local businesses.
Some 7,000 scratchcards are available to customers who spend more than 15 euros in local bars and restaurants on an “almuerzo” (brunch) or lunch.
The campaign will run from September 2 to 8.
