There have been 221 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours in the Murcia region, 40% of which originate from parties of families and/or friends.
This brings the total number of cases since the beginning of the epidemic to 6,610, according to the regional Department of Health.
Of the 221 new cases 65 were in Murcia; 25 in Lorca; 16 in Cartagena; 11 in Molina de Segura; 5 in Beniel; 5 in Ceuti; 4 in Blanca, and 4 in Fortuna. The remaining cases are distributed amongst various municipal areas.
The number of active cases in the region has increased to 2,229 with 120 hospital admissions and 19 in intensive care.
