Last night was a great night for Real Madrid fans as their team won the league but they celebrated at home!!
Earlier in the day, faced by the probability that Real Madrid would win the league that night, the Town Hall appealed to fans not to follow tradition and celebrate in the Rice Grower´s Fountain.
In fact, fans were told the fountain was out of bounds and asked to avoid crowds, wear masks and repect social distancing n order to avoid spreading the Covid-19 virus.
Fans answered the call! Their team won the league and they celebrated at home.
The Town Hall has issued a big than you to Madristas for their sense of responsibility and for avoiding an enormous step backwards in the fight agaist the epidemic.
Well done Real Madrid and a massive thank you to their fans for keeping us all safe!
