GUARDIA CIVIL REMINDER ON MASKS
A polite reminder from the Guardia Civil to anyone travelling to Spain in the coming days or weeks is to be aware that you must carry a mask at all times. It´s not a choice.
This will continue until a vaccine is available.
While sitting at a table in a restaurant or bar this does not apply. But leaving your seat for any reason requires you to have the mask with you.
The Royal Decree revised on June 20 states that is it obligatory to carry a mask with you at all times and the mask must be worn where social distancing of 1.5metres between anyone else cannot be maintained.
The police can fine you on the spot up to 1000 euros.
Please be careful and respectful.
