The local police have arrested two men in Calasparra after 600 grams of marijuana was found during a routine control.
The two men, aged 34 and 21 years, were stopped by the police at a checkpoint mounted during the State of Alarm last Wednesday.
The vehicle was stopped and searched after the driver was seen acting suspiciously. After identifying a strong smell of marijuana the officers searched a bag of work tools in the vehicle and found two bags of the drug.
The two men appeared before magistrates on a charge under the Public Health Act.
The local police emphasized that “this intervention was the fruit of a grand collaboration and coordination between the local police and the Guardia Civil, and the work of the Round Table which coordinates activities under the State of Alarm.”
