WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN´T DO UNDER PHASE ONE

The President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, issued this warning in the press conference today: “The virus is not beaten and it is there, waiting to pounce. We must continue to be vigilant in order to stay safe and keep those around us safe.”

You may travel freely in your health area (region), with people you live with, for permitted activities: shopping, active tourism, tourism and anything else in the list below.

You can take your normal walks and individual sports during the time slots allocated for your age group. You may take your dog with you.

You can go and have a drink or a coffee in a bar terrace if it is at less than 50% capacity, but you may find your stay time restricted.

You can go shopping in local shops and you may travel to nearby towns to shop. Enclosed shopping centres and large stores (that are not supermarkets) will remain closed. Some businesses may refuse to take cash as credit cards use is recommended.

You can have friends around to your house (no more than 10 people allowed in one place unless they are people who live with you).

You can visit friends in their home.

In the two activities mentioned above social distancing must be maintained and masks are recommended.

You may participate in “active tourism” and travel in our car to the area where you practice it. Examples given are taking your bike to the mountains, caving or potholing.  Therefore, walking or trekking (senderismo) should fall into this category. You cannot travel outside the region (health area).

You may go on an organized walk, if you pre-book, but numbers are limited to 10 people.

The public library should open, however, this may depend on the discretion and the resources of the Town Hall. Museums should also open.

Concerts, theatre etc is permitted but to a strictly reduced audience capacity.

You may go to church as long as it is only one third of capacity.

WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO UNDER PHASE TWO

More than one person may not go shopping .   This is presumably to keep the numbers down inside the shops, however, it remains in force that only one person may go shopping and this includes going to the supermarket in the car.

You must not ignore social distancing and other hygiene measures such as washing your hands regularly, wearing a mask and must exercise extreme caution when around other people.

Editors Note:
As we receive more clarification we will add to this list. The local authority should give us more information soon concerning the opening of the ecoparque (recycling centre)  and whether there will be a market this Friday. As soon as we have any more information we will publish it.
