Now we
are able to leave our homes to exercise many of us may find running at night,
or at least after dark, an attractive proposition. There are less people and it
is much cooler.
Now the Murcia Emergency 112 has issued the following advice on how to run
safely and avoid accidents after dark.
The most important thing is that you can be seen.
Wear a reflective/high visibility shirt or vest.
Run towards the traffic.
Earphones are not advisable as you need to hear traffic or other possible
dangers. If you must wear earphones try using just one.
Take identity papers with you or wear a wristband with your name, family
telephone number and dob.
Tell someone the route you are taking and when you expect to get back.
GOING FOR A NIGHT RUN? KEEP SAFE!!!
