The drone, used by the local police to detect residents breaking the regulation
to stay at home during the State of Alarm, has been working all weekend and
fines for offenders are in the pipeline.
The drone has been employed in rural and urban areas alike, but particularly on
the points of access to second homes in the countryside.
The local police are calling on residents to be responsible and respect the
regulation to only go out when absolutely necessary or face fines of between
600 to 30,000 euros.
The State of Alarm is likely to be extended to April 9 although there may be some flexibility, such as allowing
small children (under 12) to go out for a fixed period with an adult. However,
the details have still not been published.
