An Army of paid and unpaid workers from the Forestry Brigade, the Municipal Services and the Protection Civil are working behind the scenes to keep us safe from coronavirus by disinfecting and cleaning the streets.
Fire engines were to be seen at various strategic points of the town this morning spraying disinfectant on roads and installations. (see photo album below).
Yesterday morning the Round Table which coordinates the local police operations met to discuss the precautionary measures imposed during the State of Alarm.
New forms to control and monitor the population and enforce the Stay at Home rule were presented and residents are reminded that fines for disobeying the regulation are from 600 euros to 30,000 euros.
The meeting had reviewed favorably the operation to distribute masks to those returning to work and noted that the majority of residents in self isolation at home as suspected cases of the coronavirus had already been given a clean bill of health.
