Here are some of the measures
taken by central government which may affect our readers.
No vulnerable person may have their property repossessed as a result of non-payment
of rent during the next six months.
Microcredits without interest will be available at the end of this period to
facilitate paying back rent arrears.
The group “vulnerable people” is wide and includes people affected by temporary
workers laid off, worker with shorter hours, people with reduced income etc.
PROHIBITED CUT OF ENERGY OR WATER SUPPLIES
During the State of Alarm it is prohibited to cut off any source of energy
supply or water to houses, flats etc. The “bono social” will be extended to
cover people who are vulnerable, affected workers and self-employed.
BREAK FROM MORTGAGE
REPAYMENTS
Those who have lost their Jobs or have reduced income will have a further period
of three month (in addition to the month previously announced) break in making
mortgage repayments.
This will also
affect self employed people. (If you are self-employed and affected by the
State of Alarm talk to your Assessor for “accreditation” to take advantage of
this scheme).
SELF EMPLOYED
Self-employed people will be exempt from natioanl insurance payments (cotización)
during May, June and July and will not have to repay monies owed until June 30.
ADVERTISING FOR ONLINE GAMBLING
BANNED
During the State of Alarm advertising for online gambling will be limited to
1am to 5am on the televisión, radio or Internet.
SUSPENSION OF CONSUMER
CREDIT PAYMENTS AND TRAVEL REFUNDS
Vulnerable people,
those with reduced income etc will be able to negotiate a suspension of
consumer credit payments for three months or more if necessary.
CHANGING YOUR MOBILE PHONE PROVIDER
No Company may charge clients for changing their provider during the State of Alarm.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
All services for the attention of victims of domestic violence or sexual
exploitation are guaranteed.
