Local police have imposed 60 fines in Calasparra for failure to comply with the restrictions imposed by the State of Alarm and have increased controls to reduce residents’ movements.
The Round Table which coordinates the activities of local police and the Guardia Civil met yesterday to discuss introducing measures to enforce the shutdown of non-essential businesses and activities and reduce the movement of the local population.
As the 60 fines imposed on residents for failing to comply with the restrictions on movement illustrate that many residents are not obeying the regulations the Round Table decided to increase the controls on vehicles on the public roads and pedestrians on the streets of Calasparra.
The number of confirmed cases of the virus in Calasparra increased from 12 to 13 overnight.
