Probicasa is to build and open a new factory in Calasparra and will invest 8million euros in the first phase.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, made the announcement at a press conference yesterday when he presented the project with Angel Hernando of Probicasa.
The factory will an extension to the current premises in the Casa Traviesa area on the RM-714 Mula Road which will be extended by 400,00 square metres.
The Mayor said the new factory would expand commercial possibilities in Calasparra as well as providing employment for the area.
Probicasa S.A. is one of the largest preserves companies in North West Murcia which was bought by the French group Andros, specialists in fruit juices, jams and deserts, in 2014. Andros has dozens of factories all over Europe and exports to more than 100 different countries.
