The governing Socialist party of Calasparra will present a motion at the regional government demanding “sufficient resources” and more staff at the local Emergency Department to avoid putting the lives of residents at risk.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, says he has on numerous occasions raised the issue with the regional government to no avail and thanked the existing staff at the department for their commitment in spite of the lack of resources.
