Local football team, GH Seguridad Calasparra, have not gained any points so far this season,
following their ascent to the Preferente
League.
«We are motivated and are adapting
to the new category,” says Captain, Ivan Moya Sanchez. “It is important that we
start gaining points right now. It is
the impulse that we need.”
In spite of the poor results the local fans remain
loyal, he added.
On the other hand, the Youth Team was celebrating this Sunday after their home
match against San Miguel was suspended due to incidents on the pitch with the score
at 0-2.
The team await the decision of the Football Federation.
Off the pitch and on the billard table local player, Mario Mercador, will not
have a place in the World Championship Finals after being eliminated on the first
day of the competition during the group phase.
He is now preparing for the World Cup in Holland when he will compete in the
Absolute Category between October 20 and 27.
