The pilgrimage to the Summit of Monte San Miguel has become a traditional march to begin Autumn on a good footing.
The 585 metre climb between the pines and the rosemary bushes on the slopes of Monte Miguel is more popular every year and offers stupendous 360 degrees views of Calasparra.
Pilgrims are offered refreshments at the summit outside the tiny chapel.
