Calasparra Castle will receive a 749.772 euros cash injection from the Ministry of Promotion to restore the outer walls and improve tourist access.
The Minister of Promotion, José Blanco, also signed an agreement with the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, which will receive 1.684.721,37 euros to restore buildings damaged during the earthquake.
The funds for the “Castillo de San Juan” in Calasparra will pay for the restoration of the perimeter walls and facilitate tourist access by wooden steps and a passage accessing a viewing point at the “Torre de Homage.”
