Environmental volunteers have transformed the muddy puddle full of rubbish that was the River Argos into a natural paradise a stone’s throw from the town centre.
The clean-up has consisted of several phases and the reforestation and replanting activities in the area are ongoing. The result is a delightful natural enclave jut below the bridge on the Valentin road as you leave Calasparra. An area to walk and enjoy nature, feed the ducks and admire the views.
Saturday’s clean up was organized by the local Department of Youth and the Environment.
