Calasparrian, Juan Bernal Sánchez, is one of some 500 athletes competing under the Spanish flag in the European Multisport Championships 2018 being held in Ibiza.
He is one of 2,600 athletes from 29 European countries taking part and one of 800 participating in his event, the Ducathlon.
Calasparra Town Hall has sent congratulations to the local athlete who competes on October 20.
