Calasparra Town Hall has presented a full programme of activities, including a medieval procession, with more than 30 horses, and medieval banquet, to mark the Donation of Calasaparra to the Order of St John.
The fiestas are from June 8 to 1, when Calasparra will go back in time to the medieval age with a full medieval market, which includes a show with Compañía Circo Divinorum at the official opening, and a nocturnal walking route around Calasparra Castle on Friday evening.
As noted in an article below, you can hire a medieval costume for free in order to take part in the banquet and the procession.

Queimada is an alcoholic punch typical of Galicia: During its preparation it is traditional set alight and a spell is recited conferring special powers on the punch and those who drink it.
