WARNING: HIGH LEVEL OF ULTRA VIOLET RAYS

The regional Health Service has issued a warning for Level 9 Ultra Violet rays in the Murcia region this weekend and advises residents to stay out of the sun.
The level of ultra violet rays is going to be “very high,” over the weekend, according to the Met Office (AEMET). Plus there will be southerly winds which will reduce the protective level of ozone  and increase the likelihood of sun burn.
Readers are advised to avoid contact with the sun during the hottest hours in the middle of the day; to wear clothes which protect from the sun, wide rim hats and sunglasses. Sun cream of factor 15 or more should be applied liberally and often.
Certain medicines make the skin more sensitive to the sun and as do perfumes and deodorants.
Ultra Violet rays damage collagen in the skin, cause premature ageing and can increase the risk of skin cancer. They can also seriously damage your eyes.
Ultra Violet rays are measured on a scale of 1 to 11 so the prediction of 9 is extremely high.
Predictions are that temperatures will soar to 31 degrees centigrade in Calasparra tomorrow, Saturday.
Stay cool and stay safe!!!
