The Natural Reserve Committee of the River Banks Woods and Copses, headed by the regional Department of Employment, Universities, Businesses and the Environment, through the General Director of the Natural Environment, agreed this week to undertake the repair work on the terraces at the Sanctuary which were damaged when the river Segura broke its banks during torrential rain.
The Director General of the Natural Environment, Consuelo Rosauro, underlined the importance of contributing to this natural space, the Cañaverosa Reserve.
«We are dealing with an enclave of great environmental value. One of the best river bank forests in all the region,” he said.
