The Director General for Sport at CARM, Alonso Gómez López, and the Mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez Fernández, have officially presented the Regional Table Tennis Final, which will be held in Calasparra on Saturday.
Alonso Gómez explained that some 150 children, Infant and Junior, belonging to 30 different teams will be taking part in the event. Participants who get through the two phases and the winners will pass directly into the National Championships to be held soon in Murcia.
The Mayor thanked the officials for selecting Calasparra for the final, which will be held in the Municipal Sports Pavillion from 9.30am.
“We are very happy to be able to collaborate, above all when this entails promoting sport amongst younger children,” said the Mayor.
