There were more than 300 runners in the New Year´s Eve Fun Run to raise funds for fresh water projects in Niger.
Both children and adults took part in the five kilometer, organized by AD Blade Runners and Calasparra Town Hall, run around central Calasparra on Sunday evening.
Local sports stars, Clara Gonzalez (white water canoeing) and Juan Bernal, athlete, signed on for the event, which was watched by a large crowd in festive spirits.
