The first day of industrial action yesterday at ITV stations in the region left some 605 motorists without ITVs and waiting times at Caravaca of two hours and at Lorca three hours.
The industrial action is due to continue next week and 75% of workers are reported to be on strike with some 95 to 100% on “ go slow.”
The unions are seeking the support of the Socialists, PSOE, to defeat the proposed privatization of the ITV service.
According to Union sources the ITV workers have lost an average of 300 euros due to the industrial action and continue to lose money every day the strike continues.
