Every May there is a pilgrimage from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope with the statue of the “pequeña virgin” to Calasparra, after which there is a month of religious activities and events.
Here is the full programme:
SUNDAY APRIL 30 12 Midday
Bell ringing and rockets to announce the visit of the statue of Our Lady of Hope.
MONDAY MAY 1
12 midday Bellringing and rockets
12.15am Rosary prayers at the Sanctuary Chapel
1pm Mass for the “anderos” ( who carry the statue) with medals for new members.
From 3.30 until 5pm Buses will leave from outside Pepón to the Sanctuary, followed by the
Pilgrimage to Calasparra.
7pm Muic and Dance from the Rondalla de Calasparra at the gate of the Caverina Football Ground.
8pm Meeting of the statue of Our Lady of Hope with the statues of the Patron Saints of Calasparra at the gate of the Caverina Football Ground
Procession to the Merced
On arrival at Merced Church the Coro Rodero of Calasparra will perform.
On arrival at St Peter´s Church, mass with the Parish Choir

8pm Floral tributes in the Barrio Nuevo Pozo.
SATURDAY MAY 6
8pm Mass for Caritas with donation of non perishable food. St Peter´s Church

8pm Mass in memory of St Madre Carmen del Niño Jesús, founder of the Franciscan Sister, organised by the Catholic Primary School and sung by the Parish Choir.

8pm Floral tributes in the Caverina.
SATURDAY MAY 13
7pm Procession with the statue of Our Lady of Hope to the St Peter´s area, accompanied by the Association Band of Music.

8pm Mass in the Plaza de la Corredera with floral tributes from St Peter´s area and performances by the Rodero Amanecer Choir.

Mass will be said Monday to Friday at 8am and Sundays at 9am and 11am and at 8pm every day in St Peter´s Church:
