The spokesperson for Agriculture of GPP at the Congress of Deputies, María Ascensión Carreño, has asked the Goverment to consider this Wednesday an application to declare the caves and surroundings, which are the local Sanctuary, part of the Natural Patrimony of Humanity.
The application has been made based on a motion by the Partido Popular.
Carreño describes the Sanctuary as “one of the three most visited” in Spain with “a great cavity excavated in the rock” where there is “an allegory between the spirituality, nature, tourism and leisure.”
