Although February was the driest, warmest month, according to the Met Office, the period from October to February has been the wettest for 75 years.
During this period some 308 litres of rain has fallen per square metre in the region, double the average.
During last month the monthly average temperature was 11.3 degrees: some 1.1 degrees above average. The average maximum temperature was 16.3 degrees: some 0.6 degrees above average.
