FOR BEING THERE WHEN WE NEED YOU!!

The President of the Autonomous Government of Murcia, Pedro Antonioi Sanchez, paid tribute to the 41 voluntary associations of the Civil  Protection this week at a reception in Murcia to mark the international day of the organisation.
Calasparra was represented by the local Coordinator, Cesar Reales, accompanied by José del Amor and Felipe Marín.
The President praised the Civil Protection as “an alliance of solidarity, prevention, reaction, collaboration and dedication in the moments when people needed them most” and thanked the volunteers  for their “ work and the good example for the rest of society.”
He referred to the work of the Civil Protection in episodes of heavy rain, floods and snow that the region had suffered during December and January.
Each group and/or association received a diploma of gratitude.
The groups represented were Calasparra,  Abanilla, Águilas, Alcantarilla, Beniel, Campos del Río, Cartagena, Cieza, Fortuna, Jumilla, Las Torres de Cotillas, Lorca, Lorquí, Los Alcázares, Mazarrón, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Torre-Pacheco, Totana and Yecla.
