A three way friendly football tournament in aid of “Fibromialgia of Calasparra “ and the local branch of the support group, Afica.
The results were:
1st game: Librilla 1 Cieza 0
2nd game : Cieza 2-2 Afica and penalities for Afica
3rd game: Afica 2-1 Librilla
Afica was declared champion of the tournament.
Fibromyalgia is an invisible illness, unknown to society, although it has existed for 24 years when it was recognised by the World Health Organistion. It is generally ignored by the medical profession, according to Afica.
Afica aims to design protocols for the health service and raise awareness amongst social services to secure services and financial assistance for those affected.
According to Emilio Aparissi, President of Afica: “Yesterday we held an event which was beautiful while raising awareness. An event organised by a group of young supporters of Afica. The least important was the score! We want to thank you for spreading the name, Afica, all over the region.”
