Only 17 seconds separated Calasparrian, Lucas Postigo, from the winner the II Vuelta at the Sanctuary (Running Challenge) and fellow Calasparrian, Sebas Abril came a close third.
Some 240 runners took part in the 14 kilometre course, which took in some of the most beautiful and emblematic parts of the municipal area, including the sanctuary, the rice fields and the Banks of river Segura.
Khalid Masski won the men´s race with a time of 47.59 seconds, also winning the trophy for the best time under an hour, and María Jesús Delgado from Cegehin took first in the women´s race.
