The obligatory use of masks in medical centres, health centres, hospitals, clinics and most centres such as dentists, has been extended until January 28 due to a five percent increase in acute respiratory infections in the region.
The obligation to wear masks was introduced on December 9 until January 14 and has now been extended by two weeks.
This measure has been introduced to protect the population, specially the most vulnerable, according to the regional health service as the most common cause of infection is through droplets in the air.
Editors Note
Readers are reminded that wearing masks is obligatory in the local Medical Centre. Yesterday the Medical Centre did not have any masks so patients are required to bring their own if they wish to be attended by staff.
The wearing of masks is also obligatory in clinics such as dentists etc.
