The vaccinations for Covid-19 for the group, 80´s and over, will start at the Medical Centre this week in Calasparra.
The Medical Centre is expecting the supply of the vaccine to arrive this afternoon.
This announcement comes Calasparra´s state of alert for Covid-19 falls from “Extreme risk” to “Medium high.” With this new health status some of the limitations imposed to curb the spread of the epidemic will be relaxed from Wednesday February 24.
From Wednesday four people from different households may meet socially and bar terraces can serve to a capacity of 75%.
The interior of bars and restaurants remains closed but the compulsory closure of shops, bars and restaurants at 8pm will be repealed. Therefore, closure will be at the beginning of the curfew, that is 10pm.
Chairs on different tables on bar/restaurant terraces must be 1.5metres apart.
Smoking is prohibited unless a two metre social distancing can be maintained.
Masks are obligatory when not actually eating or drinking.
Parks and Gardens must close at 7pm.
Private transport is limited to 50% capacity.
The 10pm curfew remains in place as does the closure of the regional perimeter.
All these changes come into effect on Wednesday.
The incidence of Covid-19 in the region has fallen to 159 cases per 100,000 head of population, lower than the national average.
