Local Police have recovered two tons of copper cable, stolen from sports facilities and public street lighting in town centres, and arrested a group of five deliquents from various parts of North West Murcia.
In this operation officers have solved 15 crimes against the patrimony in North West Murcia and five suspects will appear before magistrates.
The investigation began when various thefts of copper cable were reported in the area. Then during a routine traffic control local police oflficers from Calasparra detected a van full of telecommunication copper cable. The offices gave chase but the suspects were able to escape across country.
However, officers were able to recover the vehicle and the stolen copper cale: evidence that assisted the Local Police, the ROCA team and the Guardia Civil of Calasparra to investigate and arrest the five suspects.
