Several trees fell in the strong winds in Calasparra yesterday during the Orange Weather Alert issued by the Met Office, AEMET, for gusts of wind of up to 100kph.
The Local Police report that several trees fell, some blocking roads and another in the gardens of the Guardia Civil headquarters.
The road to the Florida and the Esparragal, in the area of the «Pino Pomero,» were temporarily blocked but the police officers and the Civil Protection moved rapidly into action to clear the roads.
No personal damage or damage to property was reported.
