A trailer lorry got stuck in Calle Mayor last night after entering the one way system in the wrong direction causing consternation amongst residents and requiring police asistance to escape.
The incident happened around 11pm last night, Thursday, when the trailer lorry got stuck at Las Cuatro Esquinaspoint of Calle Mayor, due to the narrow streets and the size of the vehicle.
As it was imposible for the driver to continue forward he was forced to reverse the vehicle down the Calle Mayor to the Gran Via Vieja, a complicated operation that required the assistance of the local police.
Fortunately the incident as resolved without any major consequences, however, it underlines the importance of respecting traffic signs to avoid similat situations in the narrow streets of Calasparra.
