This weekend´s organised walking route around the rice fields and the Bayo Dam on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Walkers, including residents and visitors, took a two kilometre walk to the dam to the tune of running water and croaking frogs and were able to see fish jumping out of the water as they passed through the fields of golden rice which are almost ready for harvesting.
The route followed the river where the herons enjoy a feast of insects thanks to the rice crop and then through the woods of the Sierra, along the irrigation ditches through the Cortijo del Puerto can back to the Molino de Juna Haro.
The next route will be on October 17.
