There will be seven day strike by 26,000 lorry and medical transort drivers in Spain from October 28 called by the UGT and CCOO Unions in support of their demands for early retirement and reduced hours.
The first strike day will be October 28 followed by November 11, 28 and 29. From December 23 the strike will be indefintite if their demands are not met.
According to the Unions: «It should not be allowed that people who tansport goofd and people work in conditions that put everyone in danger.»
They are demanding a collective agreement for partial retirement with a relief contract to enable drivers to accumulate, in a continuous manner, a percentage of work hours and, in their place, a young peons should be contracted as a provisional solution.
