Despite the negotiations between the UK and Spanish Governments the Canary and Balearic Islands have been included on the unsafe country list.
The UK Government announced yesterday the recommendation against all but essential travel to mainland Spain was extended to include the Canary and Balearic islands.
The Spanish Government had lobbied hard for the 14 quarantine period for those returning from Spain not to include the islands due to the low incidence of Covid-19 contagions but to no avail.
