Young people who send sexy images of themselves to friends by mobile pone or over the Internet are putting themselves at risk of sexual predators, the Guardia Civil and national police have warned.
Specialists claim that children as young as nine years old are at risk from “grooming” techniques over the Internet which could result in a sexual attack and/or risk having their explicit photos sent around the world by Internet paedophile groups.
The security forces in Spain have noted an increase in crimes against minors due to the “hidden criminality and the failure to report offences.”
They warn that sexual predators are capable of accessing the password and thus entering a ring of schoolchildren who send photos on their mobiles and can pass as a “friend.”
Experts warn that it just takes a few second to put a photo on the Internet but once it is there it is there forever.
