NEXOnr reader, Kevin, not content with running the half mountain marathon on Saturday in just over two hours, got up early on Sunday morning for the municipal organized walk along the second party of the River Segura and contributes this short report and photos.
Sunday May 29 saw Walking Route 4 on the municipal walking calendar along the second section of the River Segura between Salmeron and Vallo.
Some 45 walkers set out on an 8am start from the football stadium and the coach took us to the village of Salmeron where the weather conditions were good for walking with an early morning mist covering the surrounding hills.
The walk which was estimated to b e about 10k and graded medium followed the rice fields and the river Segura through the beautiful countryside and finished at the railway station to catch the town back to town.
