In a town as small as Calasparra every vote counts and the votes of the resident English speaking community may well be one of the deciding factors in May’s municipal elections. NEXOnr would like to invite you to Ask the Local Political Leaders about their policies on general issues of interest to you or to the community.
All you have to do is send us an email with your question and we will translate it and send it on to the three political leaders.
This is the second in our series and, as before, we have asked the political parties to respond in 48 hours. The answers we receive will be published on this webpage later Iinthe week.
Question one: What is going to happen about the town’s huge debt? Will the consequences be cuts in services and tax hikes? What solutions do the political parties present?
Question two: Without endangering any public sector jobs at the Town Hall I would like to know if the political parties would support the idea of establishing a pool of volunteers to carry out administrative duties or other work for which there are insufficient public funds?
Question three: I am a habitual visitor to the Peace Park and regularly use the exercise equipment. Much of this equipment has fallen into disrepair possibly due to the weather and/or vandalism. I would like to know what plans the three political parties have to maintain the exercise equipment in our town in good working condition and how they plan to prevent it being vandalized or falling into disrepair in the future?
