A new Commission for the Municipal Library formed by representatives of every local educational centre, a representative from the Reading Club and the Talia Theatre plus the heads of the departments of Culture and Education aims to promote the pleasure of reading.
The Commission will assess the resources of the library and organize activities and meetings.
Cristina Trujillo, Head of Culture locally, has also announced that one of the main aims of the Commission is to digitalize systems at the library to facilitate management of recourses and access.
Other activities envisaged by the Commission is a Book Market, literary discussions, a monthly theme and the installation of a book recycling point.
