Today and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday February 21 and 22, Calasparra will commemeorate the «Desbandá,» the flight under bombardment of republicans forces and civilians from the republican stronghold of Malaga that represents one of the worst massacres by Franco´s forces during the Spanish CIvil War.
Many of those fleeing the bombardment by sea and air took refuge in republican areas of the Murcia region and became part of the region´s history.
