Calasparrian, Pedro Antonio Martínez Robles, has been awarded the XXII
Poetry Prize by the Province of Leon for his collection: “It is your Voice
which is Important Now” (Tu voz que ahora importa).
There were 127 participating poets, of which 10 were finalists but it was our
local poet who walked off with first prize.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, was present for the prize giving.
