The next fund raising Coffee Morning in aid of the magnificent charity, Dogs Rescue Calasparra, will be held in a new venue: the Asador El Valle, Valle del Sol on Tuesday September 16 at 11.30am.
All donations of cakes, savouries and raffle prizes will be very welcome.
Cost 3.50pp with all proceeds going to Dogs Rescue.
This voluntary association takes in stray, abandoned and mistreated dogs and has been totally overwhelmed this summer by litters of puppies either abandoned in the countryside or cynically left at the door of the refuge.
Despite the legislation that makes neutering all dogs compulsary, the litters of abandoned puppies keep appearing. It seems there are people in Calasparra who refuse to take responsibility for their dogs, open their gates and let them roam free and, when they inevitably fall pregnant, simply throw out the unwanted litters.
The cost of medical treatment, food and care of the ever growing number of dogs and puppies abandoned is overwhelming and Dogs Rescue badly need funds to meet these costs.
There are many ways you can help: make a one off payment; make small donation every month by transfer; buy food and donate it; and/or attend the Coffee Morning and any other fund raising events.
It has to be said that these fund raising events are normally very well attended and raise considerable sums for this admirable charity. for which, all of us animal lovers, are extremely grateful!!
