Calasparra Town Hall has opened a new green zone in the old town with an artistic mural by Calasparrian, Carlos Egea.
Situated in San Pedro area (near St Peter´s Church) the Town Hall has planted trees and placed benches in the new space.
The mural pays homage to life in the San Pedro area and represents the memories of the artist as a child and adolescent. The mural features swallows, the Virgin of the Esperanza, The Saints Abdon and Senen, the local rice, as well as aspects of local life such as the chairs in the streets, washing lines, hopskotch and the typical facades of houses in the old town.
Carlos Egea is a primary school teacher and llocal artist.
The Town Hall has also opened a new parking space for 11 vehcules, motorcycles and bicycles in the Calle Virgin.
